When you select an option from the shortages menu miniMrp displays a list of inventory items where the available quantity has fallen below zero or below a predefined 'minimum' level.

The inventory list shows a number of 'Quantity' columns.
Qty - The actual physical quantity 'on the shelf'.
Alloc - The quantity allocated to WorksOrders / Customer Orders.
Avail - The quantity available IE unallocated inventory.
OnOrder - The quantity of items ordered from vendors which have not yet been received.

In the 'Shortages' sub menu three different options exist.

Allocation Detail. Displays a list of all items which have been allocated to customer orders and where the 'Avail' quantity is below minimum.

Allocation Shortages. Displays a list of all items which have been allocated to customer orders where the 'Avail' quantity is below minum taking the 'OnOrder' quantity into consideration.

All Below Minimum. Displays a list of all items where Available quantity is below minimum
